The evocative idea of drawing the storm that gives title to this exhibition comes from a poem from Gloria Fuertes’ “Versos para dibujar” collection and refers to the infinite possibilities shown in drawing to imagine the unknown, to project the future, to transcribe the thought, to apprehend the visible and the invisible.
The recent work of eight Spanish artists in whose work contemporary drawing and paper support have a very important weight: Raúl Artiles, Manuel Antonio Domínguez, Emilio González Sainz, Paco Guillén, Fernando Gutiérrez, Fernando Martín Godoy, Teresa Moro and Guillermo Peñalver show how the drawing practice of the current Spanish artists is related to the importance of the processes of ideation, privileged in front of the execution and the final object.
