Drawings of the Collection of Contemporary Art, PT Foundation
National Society of Fine Arts
Lisbon, October 2018
Curated by Mónica Constantino, curator of the PT Foundation’s Contemporary Art Collection and Mónica Álvarez Careaga, this exhibition takes the title of a drawing by the artist Pedro Proença, armed with black humor and the acute irony that characterize it, to group an extraordinary series of works, one for each author, highlighting the idiosyncratic variety of each one of them. As if it were a mirror of the society from which its representatives are extracted, this collection shows the diverse richness of the works and the challenge of finding a coherence when exposing only a part of the collection.
